SUMMARY:STARTALK Summer Program
DESCRIPTION:Asia Institute – Crane House is proud to announce the re-launch of STARTALK Mandarin Chinese Program after a 2-year hiatus. STARTALK is a federal grant that funds innovative programs with strong language learning outcomes for K-14 students in support of the STARTALK goals. \nIn 2023 Asia Institute – Crane House will host STARTALK Mandarin Chinese program that includes pre & post outreach virtual camps and in person summer camp in July 2023. Throughout the entire program\, students will develop listening\, speaking\, reading and writing skills in Mandarin Chinese including a 3-week intensive summer camp. During the summer camp\, Chinese native speaking teachers will be on site to teach Chinese language through various projects\, play and hands-on learning activities. \nWe are recruiting 6th – 12th grade students to participate this tuition free Chinese immersion program.
